Difference between craft beer and regular beer

1. Different raw materials

Craft beer is generally brewed using only malt, hops, yeast, and water, without any artificial additives. Its malt content is higher, hops are more abundant, and the malt juice brewed has a higher concentration.

In order to save costs, regular beer will replace some malt with rice, corn, starch, etc., so the concentration of malt juice brewed is very low, and the taste is naturally not as strong as craft beer.

    2. Different fermentation processes

Craft beer is brewed using the Al process, and the fermentation process is strictly controlled. Its room temperature needs to be strictly controlled between 10 ° C and 20 ° C. After fermentation is completed, there is no need for filtration and sterilization.

The brewing process of regular beer and craft beer is exactly the opposite, using the Lagrange process for brewing. The fermentation temperature of yeast is generally controlled below 10 degrees Celsius. After fermentation is completed, filtration and sterilization are required to increase the storage time of beer.

      3. Different fermentation times

Craft beer should ferment for at least two months. Ordinary beer is produced in bulk, and the fermentation time is usually around a week.

        4. Different degrees

Craft beer, due to its different brewing techniques and raw materials, has a higher alcohol content than regular beer, and the rich carbon dioxide allows the human body to absorb it faster, so drinking craft beer leads to faster intoxication.
